₹4000 crore for a movie. (Approximate budget for the making of Ramayana movie series (2026-2027) as per reports).
We compare, we debate, we question that why so much money?
But somewhere in this noise, we forget to ask a deeper question:
Does any of this really matter to Lord Ram?
The Outer World: Stone and Screen
On one side, a grand temple rises – crafted with devotion, designed to last centuries.
On the other hand, a cinematic spectacle unfolds, which is built with technology, meant to reach millions across the globe.
Both are powerful in their own way.
One is stone shaped by faith.
The other is a story shaped by imagination.
Money flows into both. Effort flows into both. Emotion flows into both.
But neither guarantees what truly matters.
The Inner World: What Lord Ram Actually Sees – A Perspective
If you read the Ramayana (any version), you will realize that Lord Ram was never drawn to wealth, scale, or display.
He did not choose people based on status.
He did not measure devotion in currency.
He looked at something far simpler and far rarer:
The heart of a person.
Lord Ram and Truth
Ram, throughout his journey as a human being, stood for truth, even when it cost him everything.
Not comfort. Not convenience.

We think bigger means better.

So, Why So Much Money?
The answer is simple:
Money builds structures.
Money creates experiences.
Money tells stories.
But money does not create devotion.
That comes from within.
The Real Question
Instead of asking:
“Why did this cost ₹2000 crore or ₹4000 crore?”
Maybe we should ask:
- Am I truthful in my life?
- Am I kind in my actions?
- Am I fulfilling my responsibilities sincerely?
Because these are the things Lord Ram actually sees.
Final Thought
A temple may stand for centuries.
A film may be watched and rewatched for a few hours.
But a good life—lived with truth, humility, and love—
becomes something even greater:
It becomes a place where Lord Ram resides.
A perspective or belief says that:
Lord Ram is not looking for grand offerings.
He is looking for a genuine heart.
