ALPS International, a homegrown hearing aid company, has set its sights on capturing one-fourth of India’s hearing aid market by 2026.
This ambitious goal comes on the back of their latest innovation, The Nylo, a wireless hearing aid that offers interface-free programming, setting it apart from other devices in the market.
Currently, ALPS holds about 14% of the Indian hearing aid market, which amounts to around 1 lakh units out of the 7 lakh hearing aids sold in 2023.
By 2026, the company expects the total market to grow to 10 lakh units annually and aims to increase its market share to 25%.
Anup Narang, Director of Sales and Marketing at ALPS International, expressed excitement about bringing this “Make in India” technology to people with hearing impairments worldwide.
With over 35 years in the hearing aid research domain, ALPS has consistently focused on delivering innovative solutions.
The Nylo is a testament to that legacy, offering advanced features like artificial intelligence, dynamic audio streaming, and remote programming capabilities, even from thousands of miles away.
Unlike other hearing aids that require interfaces for adjustments, The Nylo allows for seamless, real-time customization via a mobile app.
Whether users are watching TV, listening to music, or taking a phone call, the device automatically adapts to various listening environments.
With Bluetooth low-energy technology, users can make subtle adjustments directly from their phones, focusing more on “what to hear” rather than “how to hear.”
ALPS International has also been recognized for its contributions to hearing aid technology, receiving the National Award for Technological Innovation from the Indian government.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its footprint both domestically and internationally, bringing Indian-made hearing aids to a larger global audience.
